日本の電気事業は、2024年から新しい時代を迎えます。
調整力公募に替わり、需給調整市場の全商品（一次調整力・二次調整力・三次調整力）投入、並びに容量市場が本格稼動を始めました。
一般送配電事業者は、ＧＣ（ゲートクローズ）後の調整力を、実質的には市場調達で賄う時代を迎えるわけです。
折しも、2050年カーボンニュートラルを目指すべく、2026年度排出権取引、2028年度炭素税導入、と日本の電気事業は目まぐるしく変容を遂げるでしょう。

Japan's electric utility industry will enter a new era starting in 2024.
Instead of balancing capacity public offering, all products in the balancing capacity market (primary, secondary, and tertiary balancing capacity) and the capacity market have begun full-scale operations.
TSOs are entering an era in which balancing capacity after the gate closes (GC) will be provided, in effect, by through of market procurement.
At this juncture, Japan's electric utility industry will drastically be transformed, with the introduction of emissions trading in 2026 and a carbon tax in 2028, both aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

Under the drastically changing market environment, Energy Pool Japan is committed to respond the expectations of stakeholders by optimizing Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Demand Side Resources (DSR).
By digitizing DER and DSR and linking them in the cloud, and using AI to forecast renewable energy generation, demand, and market prices, we will be able to respond freely to the dispatchment requests from power utilities, thereby contributing to maximizing the use of renewable energy, especially solar power.
